A software modular synth, inspired by the classic analogue modular synths. It has an immediate approach to patch creation with modules created, connected and tweaked with a single-layer interface.

The Synth is layed out in 4 columns with titles separating each section, or module, of the synthesizer. The audio signal is created by the Oscillators, and then passes through the Mixer, Filter and finally Amplifier.

VAZ Plus has two oscillators creating simple, analogue style waveforms which are then modified by the other sections of the Synth to create interesting sounds.

An LFO or low frequency oscillator is used to create a modulation source which varies slowly with time, a classic example of this is vibrato, a slight modulation of the frequency of a sound. The speed of the LFOs are set with Rate sliders and the "led" to top right of each section indicates this speed, although it will be inaccurate at high rates.

The Mixer combines the outputs of the Oscillators before feeding the Filter. Cutoff sets the frequency (i.e. pitch) at which the filter affects the sound. In a lowpass mode any sound above this frequency will be filtered out, while conversely in highpass mode sound below this frequency is affected. In bandpass mode sound both above and below the cutoff frequency is removed leaving only a band of frequencies around the cutoff point.

The Transport section contains Play/Stop buttons which control all Sequencers, and a Sync button which locks the sequencer tempos to an external MIDI Clock for the standalone application or to the transport of the host for plugin versions.
